Jeff in Cheney,
Washington, says we
misunderstood the
question in his
earlier email to us.
Jeff says his
aquarium has gravel
1" deep and it is
full of crud that he
need to clean. We
talk about the best
method of cleaning a
deep layer of dirty
gravel.
An email to us says,
"I've got a new 3"
long White Tip Shark
that is gasping at
the surface of
water." We talk
about why? The fish
feels like it's not
getting enough
oxygen, because of
poor aeration,
increased water
temperature,
infected gills,
nitrite in the
