One.
First
we quickly summarize last
week's show. Then

Carl from
Albuquerque, New
Mexico, calls and
says he had a Neon
Tetra die. Carl also
says he has Cardinal
Tetras that are more
than seven years
old. Carl also had a
Betta Fish that
lived to be about
eight years old,
which is by far the
longest that we've
heard of. We discuss
the life span of
Neon Tetras. Tom
asks Carl why his
fish seem to live so
long? Carl says he
odes not overfeed
and uses peat
pellets.
Segment
Two.
Josh from Ohio calls
and says his
computer was hacked
this week. He bought
one Diamond Tetra
and one Tiger Angel
Fish recently. Josh
says his Rainbows
color up then loose
the colors. We
discuss what can
trigger fish to
color up. Josh says
his new Angel is
nervous, and we
discuss why his
Angel is nervous.
Finally Josh says he
plans to get a new
50-gallon aquariums
soon, and asks about
moving his fish?
Katelyn asks what to
do with extra babies
that her Guppies
reproducing, and she
also wants to know
why her 10-gallon
has over-heated?
Aaron from Ohio sent
us an email with
pictures of his
aquariums, and we
discuss the
pictures.
Brian from Texas
calls and says
somebody put a bunch
of foot cream in his
aquarium? We tell
Brian this is a
catastrophe and
discuss what to do
about it!

Three.
Aaron
from Ohio calls, and
says he added three
more Platies to make
six total. He also
tells us what other
fish he has and
wants to know what
fish we would add to
his aquarium?
Rod in Elk Grove,
California, near
Sacramento has an
above ground pond
with Goldfish and
Koi. Will this pond
get too cold during
the winter?
Dennis from Spokane,
Washington, calls
and says the
BIO-wheels in the
Emperor Filters in
his 80-gallon Molly
aquarium stopped
rotating and the
water in his
aquarium got cloudy.
Segment
Four.
We
continue talking
with Dennis from
Spokane about his
aquarium, and Dennis
wonders if he should
postpone adding more
fish to his
aquarium?
Ronnie from Missouri
calls and says it's
been almost
impossible to get
through on the
phone. Ronnie is
thinking about
getting back into
breeding Angels. We
talk about breeding
Angels over the
years, including
Blushing Angels with
spawns of over 1500
babies. We also talk
about raising baby
fish like Angels,
Bettas, and Killie
Fish. Then we share
our unsuccessful
experiences spawning
Rams, Apistogramma
ramirezi or
Papliochromis
ramirezi.
Ronnie says he uses
about 80% R/O water
in his spawning
tanks.
