Nevin went on to talk about the various species of Arowanas,
about the living relatives of Arowanas, and about their
ancestors.
Evan from Colorado calls and we continue from previous shows
to talk about his new marine aquarium. Evan says he's found
out that the best biological filter for his marine aquarium
is "live-rock". Evan explains what a live-rock is. Then we
talk about growing live-rocks.

We
talk with Evan about nitrates in his marine aquarium and
about biological filtration in his marine aquarium. Evan
also says he figured out why he was getting a stray voltage
in his aquarium and fixed it, so the voltage is gone.
Evan says he plans to buy some calibration solution to
adjust the setting on his new pH-meter.
Evan says he's got a couple of new tanks with more fish and
live plants. We give Evan some hints and tips for his new
aquariums to save time. Evan says he's up to 17 aquarium
plus some fish bowls for baby fish. Evan says the fish hobby
is "really fun", and he recommends aquariums, if you have
the right equipment.

in her pond and wants to know what to expect?
Christopher is wondering about adding Rosy Barbs to his
55-gallon aquarium, which now has some Tiger Barbs?

Nevin talks about the Reverse Osmosis System, often called
an R/O System, that he recently installed. Nevin says his
Gold Barbs gained color as he increased the amount of R/O
water in his aquariums.

friend, Ashutosh from India, wonders
why his Black Mystery Snails are floating on the surface of
the water
in his aquarium?
Patrick says he has a 10-inch Oscar and a 18-inch Pleco in a
75-gallon, and the Oscar occasionally picks on the Pleco. So
Patrick wonders if adding more fish would divert the Oscar's
attention?
Laura has a 45-gallon aquarium with baby Mollies. But she
also has lots of small annoying snails, and she wonders if a
Yoyo Loach would eat the snails without bothering the baby
Mollies?
James says he just got his son a Betta Fish, that flairs its
gills, and James wonders why?
Kay loves her Guppies, and every time she changes water some
of her Guppies die, even though she adds a water
conditioner, and wonders why?
Salina from San Francisco, California, calls and says one of
