writing

inform
you of a
very
exciting
environmental
and
educational
marine
project.
The
Manta
Network's
MantaCam
is the
first
underwater
camera
system
that can
be
controlled
over the
Internet
from
anywhere
in the
world.
In
preparation
for open
ocean
deployment
off the
coast of
Kona,
Hawaii,
the
camera
system
is
currently
being
tested
in one
of the
world's
largest
aquariums.
This is a picture of the MantaCam, which can be controlled over the internet from anywhere in the world. At the time of this show the MantaCam is in the kelp forest Aquarium at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California.
"The
Monterey
Bay
Aquarium
in
California
is
cooperating
with The
Manta
Network
to test
the use
of this
camera.
The Kelp
Forest
Aquarium
is 28
feet
high,
making
it one
of the
tallest
aquarium
exhibits
in the
world.
It is
the
first
and
largest
living
kelp
forest
community
ever
created
at an
aquarium.
The best
time to
view the
Kelp
Forest
Aquarium
is
between
8 am and
4 pm
Pacific
Standard
Time.
Overhead
lights
operate
until 8
pm PST.

week

Expo.
