Joan's Beautiful Fish
Video of a Geophagus Species
We took the video, shown above, at the annual San Diego Tropical Fish Society Show, which is presented during the first weekend in each November. The fish in the video is a beautiful Geophagus species. The fish's owner, Joan, told us the species name, but we've forgotten. Maybe she said Geophagus altifrons? Perhaps you know the correct name and will call during a Pet Fish Talk Show and tell us. In this video you can see this fish stretch it's mouth wide open. Why? Listen to the show to hear Nevin's explanation.
Special thanks, as usual, to Robert in New Jersey for emailing us these links.
