Video of Baby Red Zebras
In this video Tom uses a pair of forceps to very gently release baby Red Zebras from their mother's mouth. The babies immediate huddle together then begin to swim toward their mother's mouth. She eventually picks them all back up, except one baby that apparently decides not to go back inside its mother's mouth. Tom and Nevin will talk about these babies and this video at the beginning of this week's show, and they encourage you to call during the show and talk about these babies or about anything else about pet fish.

Socolofi Fry about 10 Days after Spawning.
The three babies in this video are much less mature than the baby Red Zebras in the video at the top of this Listening Guide. These baby Socolofi cannot swim. They just lie on the bottom of the bowl and jiggle. If you look close you can see their hearts beating just where the underside of their heads attach to the egg sack.
Shown above, Three Pictures of Young Mature Males.
All three live in San Diego now, but their distant ancestors all lived in East Africa. All three are full of energy and looking to have some fun and excitement. The one with the horizontal stripes, pointing his thumb upwards, and smiling is Nevin.

Your Friend, Robert In NJ.
