These Pictures were taken this week of Tré.
He's a young mature male Labeotropheus trewavasae, a species in the group of fish called Mbunas from Lake Malawi in East Africa. Tré is now the dominant Mbuna in Tom's 55-gallon Mbuna Aquarium, his coloration is all the brighter, and he keeps his dorsal fin up more often. He is usually seen among his favorite pile of Cichlid Stones chasing the other Mbunas away. He likes to stay close to the Cichlid Stones.
Fish in the News from Robert in New Jersey
Hi Tom & Nevin, Here is the fish in the news for this week. Your Friend, Robert In NJ.
Special thanks to Robert in New Jersey for sending us the links to these stories.
Callers during this Show
Robert in
New
Jersey
calls and talks about
big
aquariums
and gives
Tom some
advice about
what the
dimensions
should be in
the big
aquarium
that Tom
intends to
build or
even better
to have
Nevin build
for him.
Evan from
Colorado
calls and
says he
recently
spent some
time in
Utah. While
he was in
Utah, his
grandfather
took care of
his fish. So
Evan thinks
it's very
important to
keep his
aquarium
equipment as
simple as
possible.
For example,
his Protein
Skimmer is
much simpler
than it used
to be.
The Bailey Brothers
encourage YOU to call Pet Fish Talk
during the show and talk about your pet fish.
