Chocolates from Henry in Switzerland
Shown above, we got a package mailed by Henry from Switzerland on 08-15-2009 and received here on 9-15-2009. The package contained 2 kilos of Lindt chocolates ... yum yum !! Thank you Henry.
Yoyo Loach
Hiding Among Ceramic Ornaments.
This Yoyo Loach lives in Tom's 55-gallon Angelfish Aquarium and does very well. It isn't bothered by other fish and does not cause any trouble. When it came to live in this aquarium, there were a few small snails. Apparently it ate all of them, and there are no more snails to be seen. Tom likes this fish a lot!
A Beautiful Male Serpae Tetra
As we have mentioned many times this is one of a group of ten Serpae Tetras that lives in Tom's 55-gallon Angelfish Aquarium. These Serpaes are now about 1.25" long. So the picture, shown above, is greatly enlarged. This fish is probably a male.
Female Serpae Tetras
Swimming near Ceramic Ornaments.
The Serpae Tetras, shown in the three pictures just above, look nice and plump, so they may be females that're full of eggs.
Rainbow Shark
Tom's Angelfish Aquarium also has two Rainbow Sharks. This one is darker and dominates the other one.
Large Male Angelfish Quarrelling
Tom's Angelfish Aquarium contains some Angelfish too. These two males have grown up together in last 12-months. In the beginning the Angel on right was the biggest and dominant Angel. The the male on the left grew faster, got bibber, and dominated. Recently the male on the right has colored up with a bright red eye and seems to be stronger. It is very interesting to observe Angelfish interact over a long period of time. They can live for 10-years and even longer with excellent care.
Clown Loach showing Barbules.
There are also eight Clown Loaches living in Tom's Angelfish Aquarium. In this close up picture you can some sort of small knobs on the barbules on this Clown Loach's mouth. During this show Tom asks Nevin if he knew about these little knobs?
