Cheapskate Gravel Washer
From Bo in Sacramento, California
Bo sent us an email saying, "Hey Tom and Nevin! Bo from Sacramento that emailed before regarding the Oscars with "Night Terrors". The nightlight seemed to work but they do occasionally splash me with water when they want to be fed :) they've in effect trained me. Anyways the store brought gravel washers would always be too slow or would only wash a small area of gravel at a time which is time consuming for my 240 gallon so I stuck a 1 liter bottle with the end cut off to my garden hose and it's much quicker! I think a 2 liter bottle would be too bulky and the bigger surface area would not create enough adequate suction. I've embedded a photo of the set up. All you need to buy us the bottle or find one in your garbage can ;)"
