"New" Mollys visit Tom's Aquarium.
Last Wednesday before the Pet Fish talk Show Nevin brought 5 more "new" Mollys to visit for a few days in Tom's 29-gallon aquarium and have their pictures taken. The top fish is a female Lyretail Orange Marbled Molly or so The Big Katuna told Tom. She's doing very well, and Tom thinks she is just beautiful. The second picture, just above, is a Lyretail Orange marbled Molly male. Click here now to buy premium Mollys like these.
A young mature male Gold Nugget Molly
This young fellow has been living in Tom's 29-gallon aquarium for several weeks. He is growing and looking better all the time.
A young Angelicus Botia
This young Angelicus Botia came to visit Tom's 29-gallon aquarium and have it's picture taken ... repeatedly. This fish is apparently wild. That is to say, it was collected from the wild and not spawned on a tropical fish farm. Often collectors of wild fish keep the fish, feed them well, and grow them to the best size to sell. This fish arrived in very good condition. It's eating a lot in Tom's aquarium, growing fast, and getting a little bit plump., as you can see in the picture. Seems to be a wonderful aquarium fish.
A young Rainbow Shark
This young fish is visiting Tom's 29-gallon aquarium. Tom has two other much bigger Rainbow Sharks in one of his 55-gallon aquariums, but has never been able to photograph their teeth. Tom's got a nice magnifying glass that he likes to use to look at his fish, and he noticed that these so-called Sharks have prominent teeth. Right away tom got a nice picture of this fish's teeth, which are fun to look at.
One of the Visiting Gold Zebra Danios
The picture, just above, shows a nice young mature Gold Zebra Danio. Its plump rounded belly probably indicates that it's a female, and she is filling with eggs. Click here to buy Danios like this one.
Tom & Nevin, Hi, I found this at the grocery store. It sounds like the no rinse sanitizer you use. I am sending you a link to the product as well as the active ingredients could you compare the ingredients? Robert
Reply. Thanks for your email, Robert. The day after this show was recorded, Nevin checked his gallon jug of Lysol sanitizer, and it listed the same ingredients but at about twice the concentration. We suggest that you dilute whichever product you get as specified on its label.
The Bailey Brothers and their staff use this Lysol sanitizer in their fishy businesses. For example they mix about 1 oz. of this sterilizer in a gallon of water and use that mixture to sanitize fish nets by soaking them for 15-minutes. If the nylon fish nets are left too long in this mixture, the nylon will soften and soon the netting will fall apart.
