Weekly Fish ID-Quiz - Just for Fun !!
Each week we post some new pictures here on the Listening Guide for this week's show, and we leave the names off. It will be a good exercise for you to try to identify the item in each picture. Some pictures will probably be easy to identify, but others will probably be difficult. Tom and Nevin will identify each picture during the first few minutes of this show.
Roland in San Antonio, Texas, calls and says he and his wife visited Louisiana and on the way back visited a Discus Store in Houston, where he found two really good Discus fish and got a $100.00 bill from his wife to buy them. Nice going, Roland. Back in San Antonio he put five of his other Discus in a bucket and put the two new Discus in his 55-gallon aquarium. Then Roland's wife gave him $1000 to buy a new 125-gallon aquarium with all the fix'ns! His wife also encouraged him to keep the five discus in the bucket. So Roland put them in the new 125-gallon aquarium. In the meantime he had a pair of Discus, a pair Angelfish, and a pair of Plecostomus all spawn in his aquariums. If Roland wasn't such a really nice guy, Tom would have been envious! ;^ }
Adam in Marian, Indiana, calls and says his Dojo Weather Loaches recovered from the problem that he called about several weeks ago. Adam's not sure why they originally got sick, but the problem may have been caused by some river rocks that were not tested and labeled for use in aquarium.
