Weekly Fish ID-Quiz - Just for Fun !! Each week we post some new pictures here on the Listening Guide for this week's show, and we leave the names off. It will be a good exercise for you to try to identify the item in each picture. Some pictures will probably be easy to identify, but others will probably be difficult. Nevin said folks out here call them floats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fishing_float Chris from Grand Rapids, Michigan, calls and says he tried Nevin's suggestion to spray off dirty Penguin Filter cartridges with water from a high pressure nozzle, and it works great, which saves lots of money. ;^ } Kathleen from Clovis, California, calls and has a list of things to talk about! First, there is a correction about the Toad Fish in San Francisco. Then there are interesting tips about determining the gender of both types of Emperor Tetra. She says Fluorite is more expensive than Laterite but better in planted aquariums. She also has comments about the T5 fluorescent bulbs in her 30-gallon planted aquarium, about her Peacock Gudgeons, about making ceramic caves for her aquariums, and about recycling free plastic buckets from a bakery.
